Assorted Thoughts

Well that was a dandy week of reading, now wasn't it? I went to see my family in Ontario, which was long overdue. First we were off to Sarnia to see where Mom grew up and visit her huge side of the family: Aunt Ruby, Uncle Mike, 4 cousins and their 3 spouses, their 7 kids under 6, and Tante Betty, a cousin of my Mom's, randomly thrown in for good measure. I was really too busy to take many pics, but when I have time (ie in like 3 months, probably) I'll put the few I did take up on Facebook.

After that, it was off to Toronto to pick up Dad's sister, Aunt Sue, and then to Lindsay to stay at Nana and Grampa's. Nana's been in the hospital cuz of complications from back surgery in December, and she was pretty out of it the whole time, but the latest word is she's getting better so hurrah! Grampa and Aunt Sue are about the nicest people you'll ever meet, but damn, do they ever like to fuss over you. My parents are turning into them, it's scary.

But all in all it was a good trip. I've missed so much, growing up away from extended family. Hopefully I'll be keeping in contact with the cousins more now, and maybe the next time I see them won't be in another 9 years!
