Without Further Ado

Ok! These are some pictures from when Colleen came to visit on May long weekend. Colleen is very far away so I decided to post these to remember the good times, THE GOOD TIMES. So without further ado, here they are.

Ok, so this is unrelated but that's not the point. The point is that John is very, very tall. And doesn't seem to like smiling in pictures.

Buster is taking over Jessica''s arms and Colleen's face!! He's kinda huge here but everyone loves him anyway. Hurrah for spreading the love!

This one makes Colleen look like she's afraid of me, but really, who isn't? And I like it so it stays.

There were many pictures taken this day. Many, many pictures were taken when we weren't ready and so they will not be viewed by the public. Instead, enjoy this one: we both look sane!

My mother likes to take pictures at inopportune moments. Like this one! Except I think I may have actually told her to take this. I think I was trying to finish off the roll of film. Smile, Colleen!

We Three went to Whyte Ave for to shop and kick around Julio's Bario. After, we came back to Heather's for photographic evidence.

Mishappenings

Been keeping fairly busy since the parents departed a week ago. A week? Already? Yes, it's true! I've been going to karate and hanging with my favourite peoples and such. There has been bowling and badminton (oh, how soundly I was defeated) and watering the plants. Oh wait that's not an interesting mishappening.

Saturday I baked cookies for my lovelies and I destroyed not one, but two spatulas (spatulae?) in the process! It was a major accomplishment but alas, no one was around to see it. So the joke's on you because the secret ingredient was wood.

At work I have managed to screw up both photocopying and faxing, but really that's ok because I've been working there a month now and frankly, that's about enough time to make some newbie mistakes. I was overdue. Now my mistake is that I'm too efficient. Sounds awesome but it means they run out of things for me to do because I'm so damn good.

Today at work the Nut Man told me I have beautiful hair, and some random on the bus offered me his seat. Chivalry is not dead! Altho I think my skirt was to blame, because it is just so awesome it makes people do nice things. Why don't I wear it more often? I'm silly, that's why.

That's enough mishappenings for one day I think.

Deal With It

Today at work good. I audited the facilities, which sounds more prestigious than it is but it was a nice break from filing. Which I still don't really mind. Cheryl informed me that I might have to go with Flo to audit the out-of-town facilities, which includes Rocky Mountain House. Is it a problem that the very thought of this distresses me? I think I need to chat with the ol' boss on this one. Cuz holy crap, there's no way I'm gonna be able to get any work done if I'm anywhere near there.

In other news, many people have recently cancelled or changed plans on me and I be pissed off. Good luck trying to get me to organize things in the future. Yes that's right I'm bitchy deal with it.

I'm BUSY, Aight?

Ok so gettin a bit crabby. Not sure why. Have been really busy lately hangin out with friends and camping and working and such and I love it but sometimes I just need some me time, you know? Except that when I get it I don't know what to do with it. Does anyone else know what the hell I mean by this? Somebody hug me. Like, NOW.

Ok, we're fine. I need to stop agreeing to organize things because it's just too much right now. Don't get me wrong, I love hanging out wit y'all but I need somebody else to take over just for a bit. Or at least help. (No, I'm not referring to anyone who reads this so don't worry, I love you guys to pieces.)

Anyway, camping trip was awesome. Our stove didn't work so we cooked everything, including a rotisserie-style steak, over the fire. I got a sunburn from spending all day at the beach, and from the open car window (which baffled John, the silly boy). We watched the fireworks the night after Canada Day (don't ask) and roasted marshmallows and burned the popcorn up real good. we played frisbee and catch in the lake (not the wisest as John used to be a pitcher and, well, I throw like a girl). But it was definitely an awesome trip and I definitely needed it. Here's to vacations!
