Can You Dig It?

Hey all my sweet ass hommies this is a shout out to all y'all. I'm in all kinds of weird moods lately but right now the mood is a gooder. Spent the weekend having fun and it went by way too fast. We need to have games night and BBQ's more often, yo. I propose my house in the next little while. Can you dig it?

Office Official

Filing. Oh, yes, I'm filing! That is my main job description. I look up file numbers, and then I write them down and put the files away. Somewhat less than 100%on the exciting scale but I'm just glad to not have to spend my days doing nothing while everyone earns money and is (more or less) productive. Altho this is not to say I'm 100% productive at work, haha. This morning Cheryl couldn't find things for me to do so she told me to surf the intranet. Now I'm all knowledgeable about the Good Samaritans, haha. And yesterday we took a 2-hour fieldtrip to pull 20 files for some doctors, wait for them to do their paperwork, and then put them back. Seriously. So much more lax than the old job. It's kinda nice to not have to slave away during the whole shift. And the workplace hazards are somewhat different: instead of heatstroke, I now worry about papercuts. Which are aplenty, I tells ya.

I may want to work at a seniors' residence someday. Damn it, why can't I ever just decide on something?

Y'all Make It Worth It

Lots of things happening lately. Work told me to stay home two days last week that I was supposed to work, so I ended up with a 5 day weekend. Actually quite a bit more boring than you'd think it would be. Sunday they fired my, along with about 10 or 15 others. This year they just didn't value us I think. Disappointing, but honestly, I didn't want to be there much anymore anyway. 4 of the 6 cashiers working on Sunday had been let go, so needless to say it was a gloomy, let's-slack-off kind of day. Good riddance. I'm planning on going out for dinner or something with my new ex-coworkers. They kind of made it worth it, working there.

New job in one week! Excited but nervous at the same time. Hope it's better than the last employment experience.

Didn't mind having so many days off last week because, frankly, I was needed elsewhere. A good friend of mine needed looking after; it occurs to me now I never thanked him for what he did for me when I was in a similar situation. For that I am sorry. It makes me remember how much good there is out there, having a friend like that. Y'all make it worth it. Much love to those I love!

One Week Later...

Yeah! Things going pretty good. Dan came to buy peatmoss at the greenhouse the other day with his mam. I wrote them up a warranty and gave them a discount. It was hott. And also slightly degrading. It hit me how lowly my job is. And made me really, really glad I've got this new one to look forward to. I'm going to miss the people I work with now, tho; we have a lot of fun together. Yesterday morning I had a dentist appointment before work so I spent the first few hours of my shift with half of my face frozen. Ohh how the other cashiers laughed. I must admit it is really hard trying not to smile when you think about how weird you look smiling with only one side of your face.

Today I went clothes shopping with Mom for stuff to wear at my new job. I loooove having an excuse to shop! Afterward we went out for lunch and had fun time girly talk. Yay! I think I need to hang out more with my female friends. I smell a night out or something. You dig? Maybe I'll wear my new halter dress! Oh how daring!
