Bernard of Nursus????

Well, at least my history midterm is over. It wasn't so bad, really, aside from those questions about things I had never even heard of before (goodbye, twenty marks!). And I studied all this stuff about China and Mesoamerica, and the Crusades which Prof Foreign Name managed to say would both be and not be on the exam. But I think I may have bluffed my way into a couple of marks. Lucky for me Bernard of Narsus sounds like a monk's name. I think.
So now I can forget about studying history until about two days before the final, and focus on my piece of crap and non-existent (thus far) history paper. Can watching The Last Samurai be considered research for an essay on Medieval Japan? I think so.

WTF

So, the escapades of yesterday were quite the good times. (Side note: why is everything suddenly an escapade? Must investigate.) I felt slightly nerdy going back to Sal on our day off, but it was good fun. Especially when Becca sat down in Mr. Lam's class and he sort of failed to notice. Good ol' Lam. But at least the Tas Man and I got Ms. Allen to be a reference for our resumes. Good ol' Allen.
I'm glad y'all like my smoothie cuz I really had no idea how it would turn out. And I'm rather fond of the pics of our pre-blended creation. Very amusing. I was looking over the pics from Boston Pizza and they're almost all of Becca with a straw, or Tas' garlic bread in her mouth. And not one of them actually has pizza in them, so I guess the whole plan for scrapbooking them with the pizza stickers Bev gave me is not really plausible anymore. But it was still good times anyway. And I think I got one with your cute waiter in the background, Becca. Haha, "Did you need me?" Classic.
In conclusion, Meet the Fockers is a sufficiently funny movie. Thank you and come again.

A Good End

Today was a good end to the week. I got out of history early, fit in two rousing games of le badminton avec le Sabi, and had lunch with her, her sister, and Poorna. Poorna invited me to her math class, because I still had a solid 2 hour break left (why couldn't my classes at the end or the beginning of the day be cancelled instead of the ones smack dab in the middle?). But as tempting as engineering math sounded, the alternative of doing nothing was more enticing. So I wandered around aimlessly for a while trying to find a building that I don't know the name, location, or even existence of. Failure ensued. And cold hands.
So then I ended up somehow at the back end of Tory. Inside I had a lovely philosophical conversation with a lonely janitor for about half an hour. Very enlightening but slightly odd. He thinks I'm going places. Granted, he also believes in aliens. But he seemed like a very interesting type person.
Anthro was awesome; we watched a movie about American dialects. Man alive, some of those so-called "English-speaking" Americans are clearly speaking something entirely different than English. Igs.
And now I am lolling about on the computer. I've got the pictures from my Eng week escapades, and I'll post them as soon as I figure out how to do that. Until then, fair friends, I bid you adieu.

Autumn Escapades

Ok, first of all, a big happy birthday goes out to my girl Tas, who is the ultimate in awesomeness. BOOYAH! Secondly, Colleen was in a very odd mood the other day and insisted that I post. And so, to stave off future bouts of her "mandess" (or crack attacks) I shall henceforth forthwith post it up. Nothing to mention, really, so I figured I'd post these pictures her mam took of us in the fall when it was still fantastically warm out. There are some others, Colls, but these were the best. So if you want the others let me know next time you're on MSN. Also, Becca, I have an extra copy of a pic of you and me from my birthday. Although my smile looks really freakish in that one.
Whatever! Without futher ado, I bring you Autumn Escapades!

Aaaaannnd this is Colleen and me in a tree by the lake in Woodbridge Farms. My hair is having issues, as usual.

This is Colleen and me throwing leaves by the lake in Woodbridge Farms.

This is Colleen and me on a hill by the lake in Woodbridge farms.

A Momentous Occasion of Epic Proportions

Guess what, y'all? I managed to BEAT SABI at badminton!!!! Ok, ok, so I only beat her once and she creamed me in the other game, and technically we didn't finish cuz we ran out of time, but still, this kind of thing does not happen often. So please forgive my gloating and general annoying-ness.
I also think I beat my EAS midterm yesterday, though not as soundly as I would have liked. But the short answer part is mine. Now I just have to focus on getting through anthro on monday, then classics the week after, then getting that retarded english project out of the way, then maybe some history research....Oh, poo.

Major Scientific Breakthrough

I have just discovered the missing link: my dog Casper is part neaderthal. I mean, just look at him: robust build, protruding jaw, pronounced brow ridge.... It's all there, man. Hey, wait a tick, does this mean I learned something in anthro? Booyah! There's hope for me on this midterm yet!
Other major discoveries to the (not-so-)scientific world include the fact that our English prof vastly overestimates us. Although this is not really news. Unfortunately(?) for us we do not study poetry in our spare time, Prof Saddo. Only you do that.
A question: what does "emeritus" mean? That's all for now folks. Nice work on the commenting, btw. I'm proud of you.
