Tired and a Little Cranky

Man alive, I've been working a lot lately. I mean, not as much as SOME of you guys, who work so much it has rendered your existences nonexistent, but a lot by my standards. Two days in a row now I've had to work more than I was scheduled to. Today it was cuz someone decided to be sick and therefore unable to work. But I got to make pizzas today and mutilate chicken corpses, so it was all good. And Greek salad! The onions didn't even make me cry. No running mascara for me.
Is it just me, or is the U of A website the most retarded thing ever? It won't let me have my English classes at different times in each semester, and I have to make sure I have the exact same location and teacher and blah blah blah or else it fails and they mail me saying, "oh, this failed. Ha ha ha, you suck." Ok, maybe not quite like that. I think that's prolly why they hadn't sent me that stuff tas. It wasn't done according to their wishes. Hey, does anyone know if we get to use the butterdome facilities for free? Cuz if we can then that means rock climbing action for meeeee! Course, I'll need someone to come with me. It's hard to belay yourself.

Stef Had a Good Idea

It goes like this: I post my schedule so's y'all knows it. Tho please don't come visit me asking for free handouts. The folks at my work actually care if I'm slacking, and I have no desire to get fired. So without further ado, here is ma 'dule:
Friday July 30: 12-6
Saturday July 31: 12-6
Sunday July 32 (hahaha I mean Aug 1): 9-4 (which, btw, I'm going to ask another girl to work for me due to the fact that I have church, which I specufically mentioned on my form thingy)
Wednesday August 4: 4-10
Sunday August 8: 4-10
Tuesday August 10: 4-10
Aaaaannnd Saturday August 14: yup, you guessed it. 4-10.
So that's all I know right now. For those of you who care I booked off le weekend pour backpacking. Today is a happy day. I did something n the time most people require to do it in at work! Yays.
Now I think I shall go ponder life in the sunshine with famous philosophers Buster and Casper, the lazy bums. I love them.
And I love getting mail!

Another Day, Another Post

Oks all. Today we have another non-working day so I'm going to post to pass the time. Da, why one Earth were you closed yesterday? It was totally not that bad out. I rode my bike all the way over there in the wind and everything. Well, you're cut. And yes, I know she can't read this, but at least you all can. Don't ask me how that makes sense.
So I was reading my pamphlets on orientation and I think I'm actually excited about it. How fabby is that? Really fabby, that's how. I think this could actually be, in my mother's words, a "groovy experience." Who knows? Maybe I'll meet some really nice hot guy. What, a girl can dream, can't she? Oh, shut up.
That's about all for now, except I would like to mention that my voicemail is now up and running for those of you who did not know this. Ste, your message made me smile. Hars.

Baby Dragons

G'day mates.  It is another dreary day and I am contemplating driving myself to South Edmonton Common to ease the boredom. This might prove a little difficult, though, seeing as I don't exactly know how to get there. Or what I would do when I got there. Man, I gotta get out of the house before cabin fever sets in and I start sitting alone in a dark room for hours on end. Not really but you know how it is. It's amazing how one can go from having no time to do anything to having too much time and nothing to do. But that's the way the baby dragon crumbles, I suppose.
Aww. Baby dragon!
Yesterday at work was whacked. For like the first three hours I was having trouble finding stuff to do, and it was all slow. Leona even said that I might be able to go home an hour early. But then massive amounts of people kept coming, and we had no time to get like anything done. It was insane. I was taking apart the slicer and this woman came up and was all, "oh, are you closing?" and so I was like, "well, do you really need something?" and she was all, "yeah." And she ordered ham. I mean, ham!!!!! And then some guy came after 10 (which, by the way, is when we close) and I told him we were closed and I couldn't serve him. Even though technically we're supposed to anyway. But I mean, the slicers we already clean and Jeremy would have freaked. He seemed a little stressed and kept saying stuff like "this is the worst night ever." That part I found kind of amusing though.
So other than that, my life is pretty mellow at the mo. I might even start writing again. It's been a while. But I shall not bore you with those details. I shall bid you adieu and ramble off incoherently. Good day.

It's Been a While

So I'm posting. I don't particularly have anything worthwhile to say at the moment, but I feel a distinct lack of blogness which simply must be modified. I'm working a rather large amount this week, including Thursday through Sunday, but they're all day shifts so if yous guys wanna do something in the evening of those days then I'm game. Cuz really, we only have like a month left before we go our separate ways, and we've hardly spent any of the summer together. Sadness.
Elsewhere in my life it has been meaty and book-filled. Casper is out basking in the sun and I am mighty tempted to go join him in his endeavors. For the time being, however, I shall enjoy the coolness of basement, and later the coolness of Colleen's basemant. Kitty needs looking after again.  Mrrrrreowrrrrr! (That goes out to you, Colls. You know what I mean.)

Posting in Rebellion

I am posting today, even though I know the only people who will be reading this in the near future will be me and the ever-loyal Ste Man. But I've decided I don't care. I want to write and y'all can't stop me with your appathy! Take that.
So...what happened recently? I got my marks today. Actually I was starting to get worried, because the other day some lady called from the U of A saying that if they didn't get those marks before August 1, I would be cut from their list and all my registration would have been lost. So now I'm safe. Which is good, because I spent like 2 hours today re-jigging my schedule, so now it's semi-sane. Brian has not given me very much confidence, though. He took one look at my timetable and snickered. I don't think he was being very sincere when he said, "Have fun with that."
Today I also went for a bike ride. I need to get out more. I wish there was more to do round these parts.
Well, as sad as it sounds, that's about all I have to talk about for now. In a little while I'll meet up with frodobaggins1 and we'll have a grand old time. So until next time, my fair, fair, fiends, GOODBYE.

Check it Out, Check it Out, Check it Out....

Man alive. This is the life, right guys? I mean, it just doesn't get any better than this. But seriously, folks, I think my face might just implode. Have you seen that on the homestar website? It's excellent. Even the director's commentary is cool.
Does anyone read this any more besides Stef? It doesn't seem like it. You must all have better things to do with your time. Yeah, like I really believe that one.
The situation is getting critical? Is this how it's gonna be from now on? I guess this'll prepare me for next year, the Year of Sucking. Well, you know what they say: nobody likes you when you're 23.

Roll Out the Dowgies!

Yeehaw! What a weekend! It's just been chock-full of honest-to-goodness, rip-roarin', good old-fashioned fun. Well, it actually wasn't particularly old-fashioned. I don't think they had Switchfoot concerts and roller coasters in the olden days.  But they did have cows.
To make this chronologically logical (ha! that amuses me), I shall start at the beginning, which, coincidentally, is a very good place to start. But that's not really a coincidence, now is it? I need to expand my wordiness. So, the beginning. Yes. Friday was awesome, not only because of the wonderful, picture-taking opportunities and super cool music, but also because I managed to get me and some other folk to and from WEM safely without getting lost. This is truly my greatest accomplishment ever. And kudos to Colleen and Tas, the ultimates in bravery. I must say I agree with Ste; it was worth the wait for Switchfoot to start. I really hope those pics turn out!
Then after Friday came Saturday (duh), and with it le Voyage a Calgary. Colleen is masterful on the highway. Yeah 140 km/hr! Don't worry, I shan't tell your folks ;). Lots of CD-listening ensued.
Calgary is really big and fast-moving. But they have a nice mall and park-type-thing. I don't know what the weather was like back home but down there it was STINKIN HOT pretty much the whole time. No burns to speak of! Score.
What do Calgarians have against Edmontonians? They are a pleasant people except for that.
The Stampede was tons o' fun.  We went on many a ride, including a roller coaster that made us fly off our seats and scream loudly, and something like the Galaxy Twister but better (which Colleen was too chicken to go on). We also caught a glimpse of some Native dancing  and some really awesome fiddlers who could do some crazy stuff like play behind their backs. And now I know what bannock is. Yummers!
But the creme de la stampede was the grandstand show. The chuck wagon races were exciting when they were actually racing, but I agree with Colleen that they took too much time between the heats. But after that was the most elaborate, "greatest outdoor show on earth". Man alive!!! You guys had to have been there, I can't even describe it. I didn't even take any pictures of it because I knew that wouldn't do it justice.  There was so much singing and dancing that you didn't know where to look. They had convertibles and a motorcycle on stage, a crazy man twirling around a fire yoyo-ish thing, people doing gymnastics on ropes dangling from high up, and aboriginal dancing involving incredibly detailed costumes and really fast footwork. There was even a medley of songs from across the decades, complete with songs by Ricky Martin, Madonna, the Village People, and many others. And the fireworks at the finale! It was every kind you could imagine. I've never seen anything like that before.
Wow. Well, that was my weekend in Calgary. Of course, I could go into more detail, but I'm sure you've heard quite enough for the time being. Also I am getting tired of typing. So if you want to hear more of my escapades into the wonders down south, you know where to find me. Until that time, adios!

Dinner With Spongecake

Actually, it was dessert, but I made you look twice, didn't I? Ha ha ha.
Now I must go as the folks and I are going for a bike ride "shortly."

Time Well Spent

Well, Friday was awesome, even tho I worked that day. Ste and I scrapped it up and got lost in Mill Woods, which, by the way, seems like a nice community. At least the part that we saw of it anyway. And Michael's is altogether too large for me to only spend a little while in. Everything deserves a thorough looking-over, wouldn't you say? I surely would, just ask the ste. And the butterfly effect is a cool but freaky movie.
Then last night was super cool, cuz the movie was funny action and tim horton's was great and kinda trippy and we drove backwards through the drive through of a & w. Decent times that shall be treasured FOREVERMORE.
So now i must go get ready for work, but it's only 4 hours, which is like, nothing. Just think, all my shifts at subway used to be like 4 hours and that seemed so massive then. Except for those evil 8 hour shifts on saturdays. Ugh. So yeah for 4 hour shifts!!!!
Bye and i love you all.

Eating More Candy Than I Probably Should

OOO, this one tastes like rootbeer! How very high-tech.
Today I had to work because yesterday they were like, hey, can you work on tomoz? And I was like yeah, ok. Even tho I had kinda been looking forward to 3 straight days off. But it's not like I would have been doing anything productive anyway. I mean yesterday I cleaned my room. What does that tell you, hmmm? No, really. I wanna know.
That was odd. I just got a phone call which consisted of some lady saying, "Hi, is....", then a pause of about 5 seconds, followed by the sound of hanging up. Intruiging. I bet they're checking the phone line for bugs. Well, let them try! They'll never uncover my secrets!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

And Today, I Post

Is it just me, or is blogger being extra retarded of late? Stupid piece...ever since they overhauled the system it's been having episodes like this. Retarded evilness!!!!
Yes, I'm ok. I got my IB marks. 5 in bio (yes, you read that right. I didn't fail completely! How sad is that? Very, that's how sad.) and 6 in math. Which means...absolutely nothing!!! Score.
Some people have the stupidest requests. One lady asked that her meat be vacuum-packed. Are youi on crack??? Yes, yes you are. Another asked for about 4 different kinds, 300 grams of each, but they must all be in packages of 100 grams. On 15% off Tuesday.
I think I smell of meat.

Ohhhhh boy. What can be said about this one? One word: Rogerette. Look at the proud mother.

You guys are the hottest things since sexy frogs.

I Got Pics!

OK you guys! I finally downloaded the thing that lets me put pics on here. For some reason, some of them are a little out of order, but bear with me. I'm still learning. I would also like to say at this point that I bear no responsibility whatsoever for what goes on here. If you are unwise enough to let me photograph you, you forfeit all rights to your dignity. That being said, browse on...

You knew this was gonna happen when you put that thing on. It's really quite fetching. Maybe you should rethink your future career and go for a runway model instead.

This one turned out pretty good. The ad above your head really completes the pic, Stylemaster.

This one amuses me. Love your pearly whites, Ste.

Towel, anyone? At least you can't see anything....revealing...eh, Ste?

Here is a fountain in the leg. And some stairs. They were tall and shiny.

This really didn't turn out, and it has nothing to do with anything else. But it serves to warn everyone about the dangers I live with. Yes, that would be Mom in there, and Nana is weilding a carrot.

I don't think Ste knew I was gonna take this one, and don't ask me what Da was doing because I have no idea. The others look pretty sane, tho. Yeah Canada Day!

Kinda blurry but you get the idea. A circle or insanity.Ste is stoned again. Oh! Are we winking in this one? That's creepy. (Nice tongues, yo's.)

Booyah on this pic. It turned our rather well, don't you think? Not too sure what Katie was doing tho.

This is awesome. I mean, who knew Ste's tonsils looked like that? Or that Tas could make that face? Or that Da could look so studious? Or that Lu secretly has no lips?

I really must laugh at this one, mainly because I am not in it. A haha. Ste has fancy hair.

Ow, ow!!! Who are those hotties? And nice hand, Lu.

OOO. The black dresses are on the left and the blue dresses are on the right. Fancy!

I look horribly scrunched up in this one. The rest of y'all look nice, tho.

This was a very awkward pose to hold due to the slantng ground. Da, your legs look hot. Ste, she's clawing your shoulder!!!

Is it just me, or does Da look a little like she's in pain in this one? Nice dress, Bev!

I think we had been smiling for a long time by this point.

The limo gang in front of the fountain.

Four of the limo gang in front of more foliage.

The limo gang in front of a tree.

The limo gang in front of the leg.

The limo gang in front of some bushes.

This was one of the last days of school. Farewell, Karthik!

Yeeeeeaaaaaaaaaah limo action!!!

Canada Day Officially Rocks

Today was like the busiest day ever (in recent history, of course. Bahaha.) It was wild to the max. Hahaha sitting down in the fountain. Last night Grampa asked me if I had any plans for today and I was like we're going to the leg. And then mom was all like, What? The leg?? And she seemed to know nothing about it, which really is kind of sad considering I've only been talking about it for like the past five days. Fine, Mam, ignore my rambles. I'll have all the fun!!! Bwaahahhaha.
Yes. And so today was super decentaction. I'm kind of glad it wasn't too hot, or rainy or anything. Why aren't there more fountains for people to climb in around here? It's a travesty. It's a travesty of a mockery of a sham of a travesty of two mockeries of a sham. Or something equally puzzling.
The leg is actually a tad more interesting than I gave it credit for. It's opulence kind of bothers me, but it's "magic spot" definitely has some magical qualities. And it's SHINY!!! So THAT must be why Bev wanted to work there....
I can't wait for those pics to get developed. O, the madness that ensued after you left, Da. Perhaps I shall have to get the program that lets you put pics on your blog...
SARONG!
